Decentralised Energy  

The Mayor has set a target to supply 25 per cent of London’s energy from local sources by 2025.

The LSDC is exploring a range of issues related to energy in the capital including the sustainability and energy efficiency of tall buildings and the development of decentralised energy schemes.

This stream will aim to make recommendations for further action by the end of the year.

More widely the Commission is awaiting the outcome of work around the potential impact of changes to Feed in Tariffs for London. Once greater certainly in this area exists following the outcome of the DECC consultation, the Commission will be better placed to determine what additional work should be undertaken or recommendations made.
